Data for Implementation (Data.FI)
Shift supported the Data For Implementation (Data.FI) team to further integrate quality improvement into its approach to increasing access to high-quality data in order to accelerate and maintain HIV and COVID-19 epidemic control. Shift’s role began with co-designing and co-facilitating a participatory, customized quality improvement training for Data.FI staff. This training was piloted among the regional Data.FI team in Central America (Honduras, El Salvador, Guatemala and Panama) and followed by sustained coaching to solidify key skills and practice them in local contexts. This scope of work concludes with providing guidance about how quality improvement methods could be further integrated into the Data.FI model to strengthen the use data to improve health outcomes.
